Even though I have been blogging continuously for over a year or so now I still consider myself a beginner blogger. I have massive lulls and then I have months where I really feel like I am rocking it. One of the best ways to build up that side hustle is through sponsorships. However, landing a campaign takes time and a lot of trial and error. So while you are working on getting your blog out there affiliate programs are a great way to keep things moving!
This post may contain affiliate links. That means we may make a small commission on items purchased through links in this post at no extra cost to you!
What are Affiliate Programs?
Affiliate programs give you the opportunity to promote your favorite brands and products through links the business provides. Doing so not only helps the company you promote, but they also give you back percentage of that sale. Now, this is not all about making money. To maintain a respectable and popular blog it is important to be honest. Only promote items that you truly care about!
My Favorite Programs
Amazon Affiliate Program – Who doesn’t love Amazon?! There are so many amazing deals and you know I love that two-day free shipping. With the Amazon Affiliate Program you are able to share your favorite Amazon finds with your viewers! Depending on how many clicks and actual purchases you receive you will get a percentage of those purchases.
Target Affiliate Program – Target is another one of my favorite places to shop. Unfortunately, the closest store I have around me is over an hour away so online is the best way to go. I love to add links to my favorite home decor items when the seasons change!
Grove Collaborative – If you are a home and lifestyle blogger like myself then you probably are already obsessed with Grove products. With their affiliate program you can spread your love for products like Method, Mrs. Meyers and so on!
ShareASale – ShareASale is the ultimate hub for your all your favorite affiliate brands. You can pick and choose which stores you love the best and apply to join their programs. Then you share away!
Tailwind – Tailwind isn’t necessarily an affiliate program, however, it is a great way to get traffic to your blog! Tailwind the best blog helper, you schedule your Pinterest pins weeks in advance so you aren’t constantly sitting at your computer waiting to press “pin”. My favorite tool for blogging beginners!
Now not all stores have affiliate programs and/or they may have strict guidelines on how to join. However, affiliate programs are still the best way to create income while sharing your favorite items! Comment below if you use any of these programs yourself.
